What has been your favourite Christmas event you’ve worked on over the years?
Oh that’s a tricky one! I would probably have to say our last event of Christmas at The Brewery. Although it was a lunch time event, some of the biggest dancers were there and everyone got so involved in the action! It was our last event of a successful but busy season so it was great to have the whole ops team together for one last time before Christmas and everyone was in such high spirits!
What is your favourite Christmas venue to work with?
There have been so many but I’m going to say Victorian Bath House because it was just so lovely when we used it last year, and the food…..the food is amazing!!
How does the Christmas season compare to the rest of the year?
Amazing. Just amazing. It’s SO full on, SO fast-paced and SO crazy but everyone is always in such high spirits because of the time of year and it’s really nice to be involved in something as special. It’s always sad when it ends because it takes up a bit chunk of your life and you really do become part of a team, it’s sad to say goodbye to it all!
What is your Christmas drink of choice to get you through the busy period?
Hmmm.. I mean when we’re not working, it’s always going to be Champagne and Prosecco. That’s a given. But the number of diet cokes we drink to keep us going in December must be obscene!
What would be your dream Christmas theme to use for an event?
I’ve always wanted to do a traditional English Country Christmas – lots of tartan blankets, casual seating, maybe even a whiskey room..very Scottish Highlands! Oh and carol singers! I LOVE the traditional Christmas themes more than anything.
