STORY’S TOP FIVE SUMMER VENUES
As everyone starts to emerge from their winter hibernation, and as restrictions lift, we find ourselves excitedly looking ahead to the warmer months. We’ve rounded up some of our favourite new openings for the summer, to inspire you for your next team or company get together.
This city is one of the most eclectic places in the world and it is forever changing. In terms of events, London is a big old place and unsurprisingly, its possibilities are endless. The tricky part is choosing from a myriad of options, and that’s why we’re here!
Whether you’re organising a conference, meeting, or luxurious summer party, we make sure to stay in the know of what’s happening in our own backyard by keeping our ear to the ground.
The year of 2022 has brought an exciting number of gorgeous summer venues and properties that have already opened or will be opening soon. To make your job easier, here is a taste of what’s on offer:
LALA LAND SHOREDITCH
Standing on the site of the much loved Dinerama, you’ll now find beautifully curated Lala Land. Opening its doors in August 2021, the venue is billed as “a street food market for our times”, where you can “drink in the escapism, away from the streets of reality”. There is more info to come on the website however we know the 25,000 sq. feet space will feature 21 street food stalls, 9 bar lounges, a plunge pool, waterfalls, palm trees, and a line-up of carefully chosen events, with artists and DJs making an appearance.
STATIONERS’ HALL, CITY GARDEN
This beautifully paved and landscaped urban garden is a secluded space that offers a stunning backdrop for all types of events from corporate and private barbeques to summer parties. Stationers’ Hall is a hidden treasure in the City of London and with easy access to the Main Hall and Stock Room below, the garden is available to clients hiring the venue.
PAVILLION KNIGHTSBRIDGE
This six-floor Knightsbridge venue opened its doors in July 2021, offering a multi-faceted space in the heart of the city. The venue has a serviced club and members’ lounge, two members’ bars, 17 private office spaces and one penthouse suite. The club’s two crowning jewels are its third-floor terrace, offering leafy views of Hyde Park for year-round al-fresco drinking and dining (and it’s available for hire) and a kitchen with Tom Kerridge at the helm.
THE MONTAGUE ON THE GARDENS BEACH BAR
A summer party venue with a unique twist! The award-winning Beach Bar at The Montague on the Gardens is an unforgettable summer party venue that you and your guests will remember. They will welcome you with plenty of fun and surprises, complete with real sand, a beach-hut style thatched roof, delicious cocktails, palm trees and a backdrop of a beautiful beach, you’ll feel like you’re basking in the Bahamas rather than in the heart of central London. Pose on a Jet Ski or for the ultimate selfie, jump into the photo booth to create lasting memories of your experience.
TORQUIL’S BAR AND TERRACE – ROUNDHOUSE ROOFTOP GARDENS, NW1
Up above Camden Beach, you’ll find something really special – a beautiful roof garden, complete with palms, sun loungers, armchairs, private bar and sound system. The venue, named after the Roundhouse Trust’s founder and purchaser Sir Torquil Norman, is found on level 1 and provides some of Camden’s best views.
