On Tuesday 21st February (pancake day!) Story Events, in partnership with Wood’s Quay, hosted some of our wonderful clients for Brunch.
Guests were greeted on the Cormorant Deck of Wood’s Quay with a selection of refreshing drinks including Mimosa, Bloody Mary, Juices, Tea and Coffee. Everyone enjoyed the surrounding views of Westminster and Waterloo Bridge with the sun shining on a February morning! To get us started, we were offered smashed avocado on sourdough with feta, chilli and pomegranate, individual acai bowls and a tasty banana, coconut and honey smoothie.
Once guests had settled in, the wonderful venues events team carried out tours of their three spaces; Wood’s Quay, Silver Barracuda and Silver Sturgeon. It was fantastic to learn what the spaces could offer for our clients, in particular how the Silver Sturgeon and Woods Quay can work together to make a really spectacular event for up to x900 guests across both spaces.
Whether it’s a summer party, Christmas party, dinner or product launch, there really is something for everyone! Each space has a different capacity with the largest space being the Silver Sturgeon (550 standing). Followed by Wood’s Quay (250 standing) with the most intimate space being the Silver Barracuda (200 standing).
We were then seated for a delicious two-course brunch which was served in the West Wing and woods Quay and features its own live cooking station! The first course was a delicious shakshuka, with baked eggs and parsley accompanied by sourdough bread and garlic-roasted butter. Then in honour of pancake day our second course followed which featured a sharing board of incredible buttermilk pancakes, crispy bacon, maple syrup, fruit and edible flowers!
Guests certainly left with a sweet taste in their mouth, not only from the delicious pancakes, but also from all the exciting spaces on offer for their potential events.
