On July 18th, we hosted some of our most valued clients for an enchanting, intimate VIP dinner at Moving Venue’s Bermondsey tasting rooms. The evening was like a fairytale, straight out of a picture book, with a Bridgerton-esque theme that added a touch of regency elegance to the night, ensuring our guests felt like royalty.
This dinner was brought to life with gorgeous pink, purple, blue and red florals beautifully arranged by the wonderful Hybrid Flowers, adorning the table and dessert station, creating a stunning visual feast. Bespoke Story-branded fans, meticulously designed menus, exquisite linen, and carefully selected tableware further elevated the experience, adding to the evening’s charm and sophistication.
After the scene was set, the attention quickly turned to the culinary delights in front of us. The evening began with an array of exquisitely presented canapés, perfectly paired with champagne. Followed by a perfectly curated four-course menu, with each dish more unique and tantalising than the last. The feast commenced with a delectable asparagus starter, paving the way for a refreshing gazpacho crab and watermelon fish course. The main course was a culinary masterpiece; succulent beef paired with romesco and watermelon, a harmonious blend of flavours that left our guests in awe.
The magic moment then came with the ‘Dessert Story’. Moving Venue’s very own pastry chef, Sarah Hartnett, and her talented team, wowed our clients by providing us with a multitude of desserts, each designed entirely around our most favourable, nostalgic childhood storybooks. Among these delightful creations was a chocolate cake inspired by Bruce Bogtrotter from Matilda, a chocolate covered peach mousse filled with peach, lemongrass and raspberry, inspired by James and the Giant Peach and a coconut almond dacquoise bread filled with orange marmalade, of course inspired from Paddington Bear. And those are to name only a few. Sarah had all guests in absolute awe of the creativity, design and thought that went into these desserts. It was such a special moment for Story to offer something so personalised for our clients to enjoy.
Personalisation and VIP treatment was the key to this enchanting evening, and we had it all! From intricately designed invitations and personalised menu cards to Story branded tote bags, takeaway florals for each guest and of course the incredible desserts, topped off with our very own pure white chocolate storybook, including all the names of the hosts and guests in the room on the front! It was a wonderful effort across Story and Moving Venue and our clients walked away feeling valued, impressed and truly inspired.
