Summer has finally arrived and with the long Jubilee weekend coming up, we can’t wait to spend it at some of our favourite rooftop venues! We have included a shortlist of some of our sun soaked, skyline viewing, drinking spots throughout the city.
Here are a few of our favourites:
Sabine
A beautiful rooftop venue that boasts an incredible view of St Paul’s Cathedral. Located at 10 Godliman Street, a short walk from City Thameslink or St Paul’s station, the Story team visited recently and enjoyed some of the delicious bar snacks alongside a few glasses of fizz! This venue is great for any event throughout the year.
Sky Garden
If the highest of heights is your thing, and you’re looking for spectacular views, the Sky Garden is your perfect destination! Located on the 35th floor of the ‘Walkie Talkie Building’, access to the Sky Garden is free of charge on weekdays 10am – 6pm and 11am – 9pm at weekends. We highly recommend that you reserve a table for dinner or drinks to soak up the atmosphere, eat something tasty and enjoy the views.
Aqua Nueva
Located in the West End, Aqua Nueva is a gorgeous and glamorous Spanish restaurant with two exquisite roof terraces overlooking Regent Street. The food and drinks are divine, and its central location makes it an ideal spot for numerous occasions, especially company get-togethers and weekend drinks with friends, as it is easily accessible via a short walk from Oxford Street station.
Seabird
A beautiful rooftop restaurant that is located in The Hoxton, Southwark. Seafood lovers enjoy the Mediterranean style cuisine and extensive oyster list. The venue has a special attraction which is their marble raw bar, it’s a perfect venue for your summer event as the space is extremely versatile. Evening drinks during the summer evenings are nothing short of incredible with the breathtaking skyline views.
Jin Bo Law
An Asian style bar that is located on the 14th floor of the Dorsett City Hotel. You can experience the breathtaking views of London’s most iconic skyline while sipping on one or two of their delicious cocktails. The colours of bronze and marble enhance the Asian heritage and the balcony stretches over the full length of the bar, giving you plenty of space to host your evening reception.
