Story Events were invited by the amazing Food by Dish for their Annual Dish Spring Party at RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
We arrived at the Champagne and Seafood Restaurant, run by Food by Dish, to be registered and greeted with Pommery Champagne. We then had an hour to wander around and explore the beautiful garden designs and gorgeous flower displays. Some favourites of ours were the Kells Bay House & Gardens and the stunning dragon made out of wood.
After viewing the installations we arrived at the QEII Suite, which was filled with beautiful blooms created and placed by Lavender Green. The Story team were immediately treated with wonderful cocktails, mocktails and Pommery Brut. Our favourite was the Garden Martini, made up of gin, elderflower, rose, apple juice and cucumber; perfect for a pre-networking booster!
The room was filled with beautiful sounds from two talented violinists, and the hum of joyful networking. Once the first drinks were finished, we were treated to Dish’s signature culinary delights, in the initial form of many canapés disguised as floristry to match the occasion – it was mouthwatering! After the canapés and cocktails had been tasted, all guests were encouraged to sit at their table for the main course with a delicious glass of white, rose or red wine.
The main course was a titled Spring Lamb, and was accompanied with wild garlic, onion, spelt and wye valley asparagus. This was swiftly followed by a scrumptious and unique dessert named Honey Garden. A glorious picturesque combination of Greenwich Honey and Orange Blossom Posset, with wild flowers and leaves.
Once all of the food was finished, guests were treated to a wonderful end-of-the-night Espresso Martini, branded with the Dish logo.
A big thank you to the Food by Dish team for hosting us so beautifully, and to Lavender Green for transforming the suite into a magical garden.
