Philip Morris September Summer Party

Philip Morris asked the Story team to organise a fun filled yet relaxed in-person staff summer party in September. This would be the first time everyone reunited since the pandemic began – so it needed to energise and inspire! The client requested an outside venue for 300 staff members, with wet weather contingency of course! They also wanted a laid-back approach to catering, charismatic entertainment, and a WOW moment. They also included a nod to the LGBTQI+ community via a Pride colour scheme and drag performers.

Regents University, with its stunning lawns and marquee, was selected as the perfect venue for the festival-inspired event. Story Events created a bespoke registration platform, providing a branded guest experience.

The venue was transformed with vibrant festival décor, including oil drum poseur tables, beanbags, bunting, and deck chairs. Garden games, picnic blankets, and giant deck chairs added to the festive atmosphere.

Guests enjoyed live music, a Tarot Card Reader, and a DJ set by Freight Train. A photobooth with flower backdrops allowed guests to capture the memories.

The highlight of the event was a larger-than-life Drag Queen Bingo experience hosted by Party with Ginger, featuring two drag performers and a drag DJ. This interactive and entertaining experience brought the festival to life.
