Chivas Away Day: Responsib'all 2023
Having successfully organised Chivas Brothers Responsib’all Day for three consecutive years, we were entrusted once more with delivering this internal event in 2023. This year's focus shifted from volunteer work to fostering employee well-being and community engagement, aligning with the company's philosophy of 'Good Times from a Good Place.'
Event Brief
Following 3 years of successfully delivering Chivas Brothers Responsib’all Day – an internal away day focused on enriching employees’ engagement with the company’s ‘Good Times from a Good Place’ philosophy – we were once again asked to deliver this event for the team in 2023. With previous years’ events usually being centred around volunteer work, this year we were tasked with creating an event concept which gave employees the opportunity to pause and reflect on the wellbeing of themselves, each other and their communities.
Delivery
“Festival Responsible” was a unique employee wellbeing initiative featuring five interactive zones aligned with NHS mental health pillars. The event prioritized sustainability by partnering with local charities and focusing on healthy food options.
Activities included guided learning sessions from local mental health charities, creative workshops, and energetic physical sessions. A dedicated “chill-out zone” provided a tranquil space for reflection and mindfulness.
The event emphasized employee well-being by selecting venues with ample outdoor space, encouraging breaks and outdoor activities.
Result
An event which received the highest attendance rate in Responsib’all Day history, empowering and equipping colleagues with long lasting tools to continue to look after one another.
