Press Launch at Waitrose Cookery School
Waitrose enlisted our expertise to transform their King’s Cross Waitrose Cookery School into a festive wonderland for the unveiling of their 2023 Christmas Advert in November. To complement the advert's messaging, we enhanced the space with additional AV, branding, and theming, creating a magical atmosphere.
Event Brief
Our longstanding client, Waitrose, wanted to transform one of their pre-existing spaces to showcase and reveal their 2023 Christmas Advert in November. The venue chosen was the King’s Cross Waitrose Cookery School which already had a lot of elements that worked well for our clients’ requirements. Story were on hand to elevate the space and spread a little Christmas magic by installing additional AV, branding and theming that complemented the messaging shown in the advert.
Delivery
Waitrose engaged Story Events to showcase their festive offerings with a stunning display. The kitchen counter was transformed into a grazing table, with all necessary equipment and staff provided by Story. A 65″ screen displayed the Waitrose Christmas advert, enhanced by branded vinyl, snowflakes, and festive lighting. The outdoor space became a magical “Christmas at Home” experience with a teepee marquee, fairy lights, and a prosecco-filled bathtub. The space featured sophisticated furniture and bespoke plinths with desserts, creating the perfect backdrop for press photos.
Result
By aligning our creative vision with Waitrose’s brand identity, we were able to deliver an experience that not only celebrated the Christmas season but also strengthened the connection between Waitrose and their audience. The result was a press launch that left a lasting impression and set the stage for a season filled with joy and of course, delicious treats. Our client said:
