Story Events partnered with Revlon to organize their annual conference and awards in Manchester, focusing on the theme "Connect" to foster collaboration. The event took place at The Alan Hotel, featuring inspiring keynote speakers, networking opportunities, and a celebration of achievements, leaving guests with Revlon Professional product goodie bags.
Event Brief
Story Events worked alongside Revlon to plan and execute their annual conference and awards. This year, the theme was “Connect”, to encourage connections with teams, partners, and brands. The Revlon team were looking for a down-to-earth, modern, and cool venue with good connections with Ireland. Story Events began the search for the perfect venue and landed in Manchester. Manchester provided the perfect backdrop for this event, with the city’s busy, industrious nature, and the worker bee, a symbol of Manchester’s hardworking people.
Delivery
The Alan Hotel was the perfect venue for this year’s Revlon Conference and Awards. A design-led, creatively charged hotel dating back to 1887, it celebrates its industrial heritage through its unique aesthetic.
Guests joined the Revlon Leadership team in SITU, the hotel’s event space, for a two-day conference.
The highlight was keynote speaker Anna Hemmings, a two-time Olympian and Britain’s most successful female kayaker, who delivered an inspiring talk on resilience, a winning mindset, and high performance to empower the team.
After day one, attendees enjoyed a drinks reception in the hotel bar, followed by a three-course dinner in SITU. The evening celebrated their successes with internal awards, drinks, and a Manchester-based DJ.
Day two featured another engaging speaker, Jamelia Donaldson, founder and CEO of Treasure Tress, who shared insights on persistence, partnerships, and personal branding. As guests departed, they received a thoughtfully curated goodie bag filled with Revlon Professional products, ensuring they left with a lasting reminder of the event.
