Our client, a leading global beauty brand, sought to host their annual 'All Star Challenge' Awards, showcasing top talent in the grooming industry with a blend of pre-recorded sessions and live streaming.
Event Brief
Our client, Revlon, the global beauty brand, wanted to present their annual search for the top talent in the grooming industry by conducting the ‘All Star Challenge’ Awards. They needed a mixture of pre-recorded sessions and live streaming for the ceremony, as well as the opportunity to bring award winners from their different locations across the UK and Ireland onto the virtual stage for acceptance speeches.
Delivery
Taking place in our Story Studio in London, we transformed the space with our clients branding and bought in grooming accessories and salon equipment in order to shoot a number of educational hairdressing videos. The content was then cut and edited by our in-house production team ahead of the award ceremony live streaming that took place in the following weeks. The award ceremony consisted of talks from the host as well as the judges, and of course the pre-recorded content.
The finalists were brought onto the screen from their virtual locations, and then following the big moment of the winners being announced, the successful contestants had the opportunity to make a live speech. The sessions were broadcasted over social media in order to gain further reach for the brand, allowing more guests to watch from the comfort of their homes.
Results
The virtual award ceremony ran seemingly and was enhanced by the sleek and professional pre-recorded sessions.
We have worked with Story Events since January 2021 having previously worked with sister company Venue Search London for the past 3 - 4 years. We turned to Story Events for support in bringing to life one of our important annual events in virtual format. Previously this has always been an in-person event so the virtual side was completely new to us. With the support of Harry, Lulu & Vicky we managed to turn this into a really slick, professional and engaging event and have received such positive feedback from both internal and external attendees. Story took all of the stress out of planning and were a genuine pleasure to work with. We are now looking forward to planning our next event with them in September!
