BRIEF
Following the postponement of our client’s Christmas Party, they asked the Story team to organise a more relaxed spring gathering. Our client wanted a new theme and a reception-style event rather than the originally planned three course dinner.
DELIVERY
Our client had originally chosen Pan Pacific as their Christmas party venue. As a new venue for 2021 in the city, it hit the brief perfectly! Following the postponement, we were able to source a new date which our client felt comfortable with, following the breakout of the Omicron variant. This gave us full scope to create a brand-new theme within the stunning Ballroom, meeting their vision.
A variety of different themes were offered and the firm favourite was ‘Sakura Garden’. Story sourced décor to install throughout the venue bringing the concept to life. Pink blossom trees filled the space, adding height within the fantastic Ballroom ceiling. Story also oversaw the installation of further theming to include soft furnishings, seating areas, and other dressing props. Guests were able to capture the night’s memories at the beautiful bespoke blossom photo scene, plus the DJ provided the perfect soundtrack to the evening.
Our in-house Production Manager created a customised live ‘scene’ featuring a blossom tree blowing in the wind. This played on the vast LED screens within the space, totally immersing the guests.
Pan Pacific provided some delicious catering options including canapés, bowl food, plus live and interactive food stations. Keeping to the theme, a stunning dessert station was crafted, which included sweet treats such as ‘Sakura Macaroons’ and ‘Fruit sushi with shiso leaf’.
RESULT
The client was thrilled by the décor and styling. The format was so well received that it has now influenced future internal events.
