BRIEF
In July 2024 Story were approached by Lola’s to assist with the launch of their Harry Potter range in collaboration with Warner Bros. The event was scheduled for the end of August and to host 65 influencers and press. The event was to feature a standing drinks reception with canapés, bowl food, cocktails, and bubbles. The brief outlined a desire to infuse the magic of Harry Potter into the event while ensuring that the Lola’s brand shone through. It was essential for the event to be Instagrammable and to have a strong WOW factor.
DELIVERY
After looking at a range of options presented, the space chosen was the enchanting Jurema North situated in the Mandrake Hotel, the perfect setting to evoke the spellbinding world of Harry Potter.
Guests were warmly welcomed with an array of bowls and canapés, complemented by mangosteen cocktails embellished with Lola’s x Harry Potter branded toppers, and served with dry ice to create Instagrammable moments. Elderflower mocktails, wines, beers, and soft drinks were also available, offering guests plenty of options. Story evoked further the WOW factor through the use of dessert display tables showcasing the full Lola’s x Harry Potter range, featuring all elements of the new product collaboration.
Story produced a variety of show-stopping activations included hanging orbs with artificial candles and chocolate wands suspended from the ceiling – bringing the theme to life. Beautiful twig-like, Harry Potter-inspired florals, with LED candles enhanced the theme, aligning both Lola’s and Warner Bros branding, while antique books added charm and a touch of Hogwarts to the space.
The captivating “Magic Kitchen” featured a stop-motion animation created by the Lola’s team which was presented on a screen surrounded by florals and cakes. This activation highlighted the craftsmanship behind Lola’s production, emphasising that each product is handmade to perfection.
A charming “Floating Cupcake Wall” showcased cupcakes on small wooden shelves designed to appear magical, seamlessly blending into The Mandrake’s interior. Additional cupcakes were displayed on wooden stands, echoing the theme and mirroring the Whomping Willow from Harry Potter.
Finally, a photo booth adorned with Lola’s x Harry Potter branding and a variety of themed props, such as wands and cloaks, ensured the event was truly memorable. Story oversaw all idea creation and end to end event management for this fantastic event!
