BRIEF
Story Events was engaged by a longstanding corporate client to organise their internal awards and after party. The brief was to source a venue that could seat up to 550 people theatre style which was close to the city. Good quality production, delicious catering and engaging and immersive entertainment were all key considerations.
DELIVERY
The event came in two parts, the business update, and internal awards, followed by social drinks reception and dancing. Having conducted a thorough venue search, Troxy was chosen as the venue for 2022 All Staff Event. The size of the venue, in-house production, and opportunity to use preferred suppliers made it a fantastic choice with both the awards and after-party in mind.
A Cirque du Soleil inspired theme was chosen for the after party. Guests walked through the reception space to head into the main space for the awards. This provided us with the perfect opportunity to teaser what was to come later, with guests walking the red carpet, LED furniture and circus-inspired LED wall panels dressing the space. Story installed coloured festoon lighting into the main space, this connected the two areas without impacting the importance of the business update.
Story Events oversaw all creative, including bespoke CAD plans and visuals of the stage set for the main awards, venue theming, and entertainment. Production was a key consideration, with Story running the full agenda including the feature of Sli.do. We also had a 2-camera set up for filming the stage, and in-turn provided a fully edited video for internal marketing purposes post-event.
Once the awards had concluded, guests made their way back to the reception space where they were delighted with delicious canapes and food stations provided by Moving Venue and drinks provided by Troxy. A range of roaming entertainment from Sternberg Clarke was featured throughout the night. From a glitter ball contortionist, a roaming magician, and LED Digi Poi featuring the client company logo. Edible balloons and edible orbs were a total hit for those wanting to immerse themselves. Guests with a sweet tooth then enjoyed delicious ice cream from Fluffy Puffin. The night ended with a live band and DJ playing upbeat sets for everyone to dance to, with the finale being the Sax on Fire!
RESULT
Overall, the event was a great success, all the attendees were engaged with the awards and loved the evening of food, drinks, and entertainment. It was fantastic to see so many reconnecting after such a long time following the pandemic.
