Brief
Story Events were tasked with finding a central London venue that could host up to 30 people for a journalist dinner, followed by an influencer brunch the next day. Key considerations were location, style, and kitchen facilities.
Delivery
Following a list of venues, Story and Waitrose visited a couple of locations and it was quickly determined that Carousel on Charlotte Street was the ideal venue for the Christmas Press Launch 2023. The venue offered kitchen facilities, private drinks reception space perfect for product display, plus an intimate room to host the guests on one long dining table.
The Waitrose stylist dressed the contemporary drinks space so guests could mingle amongst the Christmas products for 2022. A stunning table centre was created with the Christmas pallet in mind, drawing upon the beautiful pink tones.
Of course, the star of the show had to be the incredible menus that the Waitrose chefs developed for each sitting. Story worked with the venue and the chef team to create a live kitchen pass within the dining room. This allowed guests to see the dishes being plated and gave them the opportunity to interact with the chefs and learn more about the products used. Guests enjoyed a sumptuous four-course menu before returning to the product room where Story and Waitrose created a decadent cheese station to experience, accompanied by a glass of port.
Guests were gifted with a hessian goodie bag on departure brimming with Christmas products and information to enjoy at home.
