BRIEF
Story was engaged by Waitrose to help deliver, produce and run their first drinks festival in London, a concept they had been discussing for 8 years. They wanted to bring together their top suppliers under one roof and invite their most valued customers down for a weekend of delicious drinks and food. The event is now in it’s 3rd edition and has been managed by Story Events every year.
DELIVERY
The last event took place at the beautiful IET Savoy, taking over 5 floors of the building and filling these with Waitrose’s finest suppliers. The beer and cider rooms were transformed into an earthy and rustic space, featuring wooden barrels as stands and grass for flooring. On the second floor, the dark and light spirits were placed in the library, creating a “gentleman’s lounge” feel to play with the dark spirits and an airy/bright room for the light spirits. Guests had the opportunity to taste the delicious food on offer and take part in a virtual reality experience for Veuve Clique whilst the fourth floor was turned into an elegant exhibition space for the 72 wine suppliers. Finally, the roof terrace was transformed into a VIP “after party” area, where guests had the opportunity to continue their evening in a party like atmosphere.
